LBB Climbing Game and DIY Papercraft Toy

An interactive game exhibit based on popular children’s IP, LuoBaoBei, coupled with a DIY toy both based on an episode about climbing.

CAFA X Makedo

This interactive workshop/exhibition was part of a larger series of workshops I organised during Beijing Design Week 2015. The unusual venue (a high-end shopping mall not far from the 798 Art District in Beijing) was an attempt to bring making activity to a wider audience.

Zoetrope Papercraft

This design was created for a series of workshops our studio was commissioned to produce for CCTV. Using the materials provided, participants could make a working zoetrope and create their own simple animation to play. The activity was part of an introduction to animation, from which a group of kids would work with an international team of professional animators to create short movies.

After following his work for several years, I finally got the chance to interview visionary engineer and designer Oskar Zieta for AD China in 2013.

Claystation X Spongebob at Beijing Design Week

A big production, supported by Nickelodeon, for Beijing Design Week where visitors could craft their own Spongebob or Patrick figures and put them on display. This was a really popular, fun event. Spongebob “superfans” travelled from as far as Shanghai to take part.

Black Box Design: A Hands-On Workshop to Design Equipment with a Magical Interface

This workshop was created for the 7th International Conference on Design & Emotion, Blatantly Blues, IIT Institute of Design, Chicago. 4^th-7^th October, 2010
