A big production, supported by Nickelodeon, for Beijing Design Week where visitors could craft their own Spongebob or Patrick figures and put them on display. This was a really popular, fun event. Spongebob “superfans” travelled from as far as Shanghai to take part.

The “ Imaginaaation Staaation ” at Beijing Design Week invites you to make your own personal creation for SpongeBob SquarePants and his Starfish sidekick Patrick. The only rules contributors are asked to follow in applying their “Mad Skillz” are “Never Give Up” and approach the exercise with the positive “I’m Ready” attitude that has made SpongeBob one of the world’s most beloved animated characters.
Total Visitors Sept 26 – Oct 3: 20,000+
Highest footfall on Oct 1: average 500 people per hour
Total number of works on display: 900+
The event opened with a VIP party on Sep. 25th
A tea-n-cake party with live DJ was well received by the guests.
SpongeBob and Patrick also made a public appearance.
